Job Summary
Assist dental providers with chair-side duties across diagnostic, preventative, restorative, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics and other services; escort and prepare patients, communicate delays, educate patients, schedule and register in Dentrix/Allscripts PM, perform charting, take vital signs, maintain sterilization/OSHA standards, assist in inventory and ordering of supplies, support training and quality-improvement activities, prepare treatment plans and cost estimates, handle insurance pre-authorizations, maintain records, and coordinate cross-departmental duties; DAII competency and WA registration required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred; occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Formal Dental Assistant program completion
- WA State Department of Health registration for Dental Assistants
- Minimum 6 months of work experience (or 18 months if no formal training)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintained
- Ability to read/write English; communicate with patients and staff
- Proper infection control and OSHA compliance
- Ability to perform charting in Dentrix (SOAP/PARTS) and basic vitals
- Background check completed
- Annual influenza vaccine; pre-hire and annual health screening
- Ability to travel as needed
