Dental Assistant I Part Time

Assist the dental provider in delivering dental services to Sea Mar patients, performing chair-side assistance using four-handed dentistry across Diagnostic, Preventative, Restorative, Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontic, Orthodontics, and other duties allowed by the Washington Dental Practice Act. Responsibilities include escorting and guiding patients, providing pre-/post-procedure instructions, communicating delays to the Lead Dental Assistant, provider, patients, and front desk, scheduling and registering patients in Dentrix and Allscripts PM, performing charting in Dentrix (SOA PARTS format), taking vital signs, maintaining sterilization and OSHA standards, following the Dental Department Policy, training new staff, assisting in inventory, and contributing to quality improvement activities. The role may require travel between sites and may include temporary assignments in other departments. Qualifications emphasize infection control, English proficiency, and a preferred bilingual (English/Spanish) ability. The position requires completion of a formal dental assisting program, WA state registration, and completion of required health screenings and vaccinations.
