Job Summary
Assist with oral surgery procedures, including wisdom tooth extractions and implant placements, while adhering to sterilization and infection control protocols. Take and position patients for Panoramic, Periapical, and CBCT imaging, then operate and maintain the Trios intraoral scanner. Coordinate and communicate treatment plans for surgical cases, ensuring monthly and yearly office maintenance and supply checks. Provide thorough post-operative home care instructions and manage implant inventory for Straumann, Nobel, and Astra systems. Work independently in a fast-paced environment on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:30 to 3:30 at Yonge & St. Clair.
Required Qualifications
- Level I or II Dental Assistant Certification
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of implant systems (Straumann, Nobel, Astra)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous surgical assisting experience preferred
