Dental assistant I (Full time)

Job Summary
Assist dental providers with chair-side four-handed dentistry across Diagnostic, Preventive, Restorative, Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics and Orthodontics; greet and transport patients, educate patients before/after procedures, manage patient flow and chart in Dentrix and Allscripts PM, obtain vital signs, ensure sterilization and OSHA compliance, participate in inventory and quality improvement, and support training of new staff. Role requires passing a pre-hire competency test (80%), probationary evaluation, annual competency testing, and adherence to confidentiality, background checks, and health screening. Must have HS diploma or equivalent and completed Dental Assistant program, be registered with WA State DOH, and obtain/maintain BLS CPR and annual TB test and influenza vaccination. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred and occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Formal Dental Assistant program completion
- Registered with the Washington State Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintained
- TB test annually
- Annual influenza vaccine (with medical/religious exemption option)
- Pre-hire health screening and ongoing screening
- Background check from Washington State Patrol
- Ability to read/write in English; effective communication with patients and staff
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
