Job Summary
Assist dentist in clinical procedures and dental treatment; educate patients; maintain MSDS and infection control; document medical history and treatment records; welcome patients and schedule appointments; explain insurance benefits; ensure operatories are stocked and equipment maintained; monitor and maintain dental equipment; adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality; participate in ongoing education and office meetings; require Expanded Duties Certificate and/or Radiography Certification on hire or within 90 days; Florida-specific licensing for RDA or CDA if applicable; minimum dental experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Active Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
- RDA license or CDA certificate (Florida-specific transition as applicable)
- Radiography licensure
- Minimum of one-year dental experience preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality
- Ability to work in high-volume environment
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to perform expanded dental assistant functions under state guidelines
