Job Summary
Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, expose and assess radiographs, remove orthodontic appliances, and prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, draping, and managing emergencies. Record treatment information, schedule appointments, maintain electronic health records, and safeguard patient confidentiality. Ensure instrument trays are stocked and operatories are organized to facilitate efficient workflow. Maintain CPR certification and participate in emergency preparedness plans, team meetings, and continuing education. Work under the supervision of a licensed dentist and Dental Hygiene Manager, adhering to infection control protocols and safety measures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS/CPR certification for Healthcare Providers
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service
- Ability to speak audibly and listen actively
- Ability to use computers, telephones, and other office equipment
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- May require periodic travel

- Competent in maintaining cordial and professional relationships with dentists, colleagues, and patients
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate and current information
- Well-versed in dental procedures with the ability to clearly explain them to patients
- Ability to work affirmatively with gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and HIV+ patients
