Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures while sterilizing instruments and following infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs, record treatment information in patient records, and provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures. Schedule patient appointments and maintain dental supply inventory to ensure a welcoming environment. This role requires a current Dental Assistant certification or eligibility, CPR certification, and a high school diploma. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Dental Assistant certification or eligibility (as required by Mississippi state law)
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Radiology certification preferred
- Experience in community health or a dental public health setting is a plus
