Job Summary
The Dental Assistant provides essential chairside support to Dentists and Dental Hygienists for various dental procedures, including restorative work, surgical extractions, and patient care tasks such as taking vital signs and digital x-rays. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe operatory environment and performing routine equipment maintenance, the role demands effective communication skills and teamwork. Success in this position requires compliance with HIPAA policies and knowledge of dental practices, instruments, and protocols. Preferred qualifications include proficiency with electronic health records and completion of a dental assistant program.
Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State Dept. of Health Dental Assistant license
- BLS Certification
- Minimum of 280 hours chairside dental assisting experience
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of accredited Dental Assistant program
- 1 year of dental assisting experience
