Job Summary
Dental Assistant position supporting dental procedures and patient care at Mountainlands Community Health Center in Vernal, UT. Responsible for preparing operatories, assisting dentists during exams and procedures, maintaining infection control and sterilization, documenting in EMR, and providing post-procedure instructions. Requires high school diploma or GED; DA certification with externship hours preferred; current BLS and immunizations; cross-coverage travel limited to sites within ~15 miles. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills; reliable transportation; light travel to other sites may be possible. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Dental Assistant certification with externship hours preferred
- Non-certified applicants with less than 1 year of dental assistant experience may be considered
- Current Basic Life Support certification and maintenance required
- Proof of current immunizations will be requested upon hire
- Experience in dental office preferred, but newly certified DAs encouraged to apply
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred (Utah County locations)
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to identify, prioritize and complete tasks with limited supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Basic computer skills. Experience with EMR documentation a plus
