Dental Assistant

Job Summary
Perform efficient and accurate procedures to maintain doctor's schedule and patient flow by assisting with all dental procedures, reviewing patient charts, and logging data during exams and treatments. Verify patient health history, discuss diagnosed treatments, and address patient questions while promoting company services and educating patients on dental health. Maintain sufficient clinical inventory by ordering supplies as needed. Assist the doctors with chairside work, including receiving and preparing patients, taking x-rays, making temporary crowns, pouring impressions, and creating custom bleaching trays. Work Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program
- Current CDA certification
- Receiving and preparing patients for dental treatment
- Assisting chairside
- Taking x-rays
- Making temporary crowns and pouring/trimming impressions
- Make custom bleaching trays
- Current x-ray certification
- Current CPR certification
- Current nitrous certification
- Ability to obtain x-ray certification upon hire
- Ability to obtain CPR certification upon hire
- Ability to obtain nitrous certification upon hire
- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional environment with direct patient contact
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor
- Greeting patients with a smile as welcomed guests to the practice
- Basic knowledge of dentistry
- Ability to educate patients regarding their dental health
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to learn quickly

Desired Qualifications
- 1 or more years expanded dental assisting experience
- Expanded dental assisting experience preferably in general dentistry
- Denticon experience
- Ability to learn Denticon
