Job Summary
Assist doctors during treatment procedures, perform chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry, and maintain productive patient flow by directing the office team. Complete sterilization processes, break down operatory rooms, and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and Aspen safety requirements. Take dental radiographs, provide oral hygiene instructions, and perform expanded functions including soft relines, temporary crowns, and quality intraoral health scans. Monitor laboratory cases, manage supplies within budget, and train staff on patient handoffs and infection control techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant License, Registration, Certification as required by state
- Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state
- Current CPR or BLS certificate
- 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry
- Demonstrate and provide instruction on proper sterilization and infection control techniques
- Maintain and update annual CE requirement as specified by state
- State Certification in expanded functions as required by state
