Job Summary
Assist doctors during treatment procedures, direct office team flow, and break down operatory rooms. Complete sterilization processes, maintain waterlines and autoclaves, and perform tray set-up. Take dental radiographs, complete denture soft relines, manufacture temporary crowns, and perform intraoral health scans. Educate patients on oral hygiene, take impressions, and execute additional expanded functions like coronal polishing based on certification. Monitor laboratory cases, manage emergency supplies, and order materials within budget. Full-time role at Aspen Dental with a salary of $18–$20/hour. Requires current Dental Assistant license, radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and 2+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant License, Registration, Certification as required by state
- Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state
- Current CPR or BLS certificate
- 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry
- Demonstrate and provide instruction on proper sterilization and infection control techniques
- Maintain and update annual CE requirement as specified by state
- State Certification in expanded functions as required by state
