Job Summary
Assist doctors during treatment procedures, manage operatory room breakdowns, and maintain sterilization processes while ensuring staff compliance. Perform expanded functions including taking dental radiographs, completing denture soft relines, manufacturing temporary crowns, and conducting intraoral health scans. Support patient charting, educate patients on oral hygiene, and monitor laboratory cases. Maintain emergency kits, manage supplies within the practice budget, and follow OSHA and HIPAA regulations. Requires current Dental Assistant license, radiology certification, and 2+ years of experience. Part-time role at Aspen Dental with competitive compensation ranging from $21 to $24 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant License, Registration, Certification as required by state
- Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state
- Current CPR or BLS certificate
- 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry
- Demonstrate and provide instruction on proper sterilization and infection control techniques
- Maintain and update annual CE requirement as specified by state
- State Certification in expanded functions as required by state
