Job Summary
Assist the dental team with chairside procedures, tray setup, and operatory breakdowns while managing patient flow and charting support. Perform expanded functions including taking radiographs, impressions, bite registrations, and soft relines, alongside educating patients on oral hygiene. Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and sterilization protocols by overseeing equipment maintenance and supply orders. Complete quality intraoral health scans and manage laboratory cases to ensure efficient patient care. This role requires a current Dental Assistant license, radiology certification, and CPR/BLS training.
Required Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant License, Registration, Certification as required by state
- Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state
- Current CPR or BLS certificate
- 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry
- Demonstrate and provide instruction on proper sterilization and infection control techniques
- Maintain and update annual CE requirement as specified by state
- State Certification in expanded functions as required by state
