Job Summary
Assist doctors with treatment procedures, perform chairside duties, and manage operatory room setup and breakdown. Take dental radiographs, complete sterilization processes, and maintain equipment such as waterlines and autoclaves. Support patient charting, educate patients on oral hygiene, and perform expanded functions including denture relines, temporary crowns, and impressions. Monitor patient flow, train staff on handoffs, and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations. Order supplies and manage emergency kits. Requires current Dental Assistant license, radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and 2+ years of experience. Part-time role at Aspen Dental with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant License, Registration, Certification as required by state
- Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state
- Current CPR or BLS certificate
- 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry
- Demonstrate and provide instruction on proper sterilization and infection control techniques
- Maintain and update annual CE requirement as specified by state
- State Certification in expanded functions as required by state
