Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures while welcoming, comforting, and educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models while ensuring infection control protocols and maintaining patient confidentiality. Maintain accurate patient records, including scheduling and intake, and help manage dental and medical emergencies by utilizing CPR certification, emergency drug supplies, and the telephone directory. This Surgical Dental Assistant role supports the clinical team at Advanced Dental of South Florida in Delray Beach, contributing to a mission of providing excellent community dental care with modern technology and advanced training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
- Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
- X-Ray certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Annual OSHA training
- HIPAA training
- Infection control training
Desired Qualifications
- Nitrous Oxide certification
