Job Summary
Update electronic patient records, assist with front office tasks, and maintain client privacy per HIPAA regulations. Organize patient areas, sterilize instruments, and prepare rooms for treatments. Welcome patients, take impressions and x-rays, and scan patients with an intraoral scanner. Assist chair-side, provide oral hygiene instructions, and support the doctor with patient education. Maintain accurate records, assist with payment procedures, and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow. Arrive 15 minutes prior to shift for morning huddles. Full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- RDA or EFDA
- X-Ray Certification
- Authorization to work in the US
- High school or equivalent
- Proven experience as dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Receptive to constructive feedback and implements it effectively
- Provides support to team members as needed to ensure smooth workflow
- Collaborates effectively with team members to support overall operations
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
- Associates/Bachelors
- Dental Assisting: 1+ years
- Dental Office Experience: 1+ years
- Familiarity with EagleSoft Software
- Familiarity with Intraoral Digital Scanner and scanning
