Dental Assistant - EDDA

Dental Assistant - EDDA assists the Dentist during examination and treatment of patients and is responsible for preparing patients for procedures, recording medical histories, taking x-rays, and preparing dental equipment. Responsibilities include welcoming and seating patients, sterilizing/disinfecting instruments, setting up trays, providing materials, assisting during procedures, recording histories and vital signs, managing medical emergencies, patient education on oral hygiene, giving postoperative instructions, documenting in the EHR, helping schedule follow-ups and referrals, maintaining exam rooms and dental supplies, exposing and developing dental x-rays, fabricating temporary restorations or impressions, and supporting clinic flow. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, graduation from a Dental Assistant program or an AA degree, 1-2 years of related experience or training, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
