Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures while welcoming, comforting, and educating patients on oral hygiene. Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models. Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations. Maintain accurate patient records, including scheduling and intake, and help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and managing emergency supplies. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Baystate Dental offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $25 to $27, plus health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and support for continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
- 1 year on-the-job-experience
- X-Ray certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- annual OSHA training
- HIPAA training
- infection control training
Desired Qualifications
- Nitrous Oxide certification
