Job Summary
Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment by preparing rooms, sterilizing instruments per OSHA standards, and taking digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and impressions. Enter accurate clinical notes into patient records, educate patients on oral hygiene, and fabricate Essix retainers while assisting with basic laboratory duties. Keep operatories clean, organized, and patient-ready, with some evenings and Saturdays required. Full-time on-site role involving local travel between nearby offices.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Passionate about patient care
- Reliable with strong attendance
- Positive, coachable, and eager to learn
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communicators with a professional attitude
- At least 6 months of experience in a dental office or healthcare setting
- Some evenings and Saturdays
- Local travel between nearby offices may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Orthodontic experience is a plus—but not required
- Experience with digital scanners is a plus
