Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures while welcoming, comforting, and educating patients on oral hygiene. Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models to support diagnostics. Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations while keeping accurate records and documentation. Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory. Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law. Required Qualifications
- Two years or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law
Desired Qualifications
- X-Ray certification, preferred
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
