Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures while welcoming, educating, and comforting patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Perform radiography and diagnostics by taking and developing X-rays, assisting with impressions, and maintaining study models. Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations. Maintain accurate patient records, including scheduling and intake, and help manage dental and medical emergencies by utilizing CPR certification, emergency supplies, and the telephone directory. Full-time Monday through Thursday hours with competitive pay ranging from $22 to $28 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
- 1 year on-the-job-experience
- X-Ray certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior dental assisting experience
- CPR certification
