Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures while welcoming, educating, and comforting patients on oral hygiene. Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models, and ensure infection control protocols are followed. Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and scheduling. Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, managing emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and following workplace regulations. Full-time Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-3pm. Candidates must have prior experience, Expanded Functions certification, and X-Ray certification.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
- X-Ray certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior dental assisting experience
- Annual OSHA training
- Annual HIPAA training
- CPR certification
- Infection control training
