Job Summary
Evaluate issues and situations to assist with resolution using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Serve as a subject matter expert for all levels of Dental Assistants while participating in interviewing, orientation, mentoring, and training of staff. Organize daily work activities and schedules, covering shifts as needed to meet staffing requirements. Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, initiating maintenance requests and overseeing appropriate logs. Collaborate with Dental Leadership to ensure compliance with protocols and participate in regulatory reviews, audits, and process improvement projects. Travel to other dental locations to support organizational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Certification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross (cognitive and skills evaluations)
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Dental Assistant Certificate required
- Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certificate from the Arizona Dental Assisting National Board required
- Coronal Polishing (CP) certificate from the Arizona Dental Assisting National Board required
- Advanced Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments and procedures
- Must have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday
- Advanced computer efficiency to include proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and Patient Management System
- Advanced office skills: typing and telephone answering etiquette
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to other dental locations to support organizational needs
- Ability to communicate in more than one language
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of dental assistant experience preferred
