Job Summary
Dental Assistant position supporting dentists and hygienists with procedures including preventive, restorative, oral surgery, and prosthodontics; prepares treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure efficient, safe patient care; takes radiographs and vital signs, performs dental charting and sterilization procedures; educates patients on oral hygiene techniques and the impact of nutrition on oral health; participates in school-based outreach and the Preventive Services Program (PSP); travels to other dental clinics as needed and assists with front desk duties when cross-trained; supports clinic operations through inventory, maintenance, and administrative tasks; requires HS/GED (preferred) and 2+ years dental assisting experience (preferred); BLS certification or ability to obtain required.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED preferred
- At least two (2) years dental assisting experience preferred
- BLS certification or ability to obtain required
- A valid, unrestricted driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage upon hire required
- Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software required
