Job Summary
Assist dentists and staff with all phases of four-handed dental assisting for preventative, restorative, endodontics, oral surgery, pedodontics, fixed and removable prosthodontics procedures. Escort patients to the dental chair, prepare tray setups, and take intraoral impressions while collecting medical histories and photographs. Operate radiography equipment to obtain diagnostic x-rays and place/remove isolation devices under supervision. Clean, sterilize, and disinfect instruments following OSHA guidelines, monitor equipment maintenance, and support incoming and outgoing lab cases. Provide oral hygiene instructions, preventive education, and post-op guidance, while maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring operatories are adequately stocked. This full-time Davis, CA role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and board-approved Radiation Safety training. Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Electronic health record system experience
- Current CPR certification
- Proof of completion of a board-approved Radiation Safety course
- Proof of completion of a California Dental Practice Act course
- Proof of completion of an 8-hour Infection Control course
- Drivers License
Desired Qualifications
