Job Summary
Complete patient charting, verify records, and enter data into the EMR while seating patients, recording vitals, and triaging as necessary. Perform routine administrative and patient care duties to assist the dental staff in examinations and treatments, including taking diagnostic radiographs, assisting with pediatric care and restorative procedures, and preparing instrument trays. Maintain patient flow, ensure proper disposal of biohazard waste per OSHA standards, and manage daily supplies and sterilization protocols. Float to assist at any clinic within Brevard County, ensuring appropriate scheduling and follow-up while representing organizational goals for productivity and patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Florida Board of Dentistry-approved dental assisting program
- Graduate from a Florida CODA-accredited dental assisting program
- Minimum of three years' experience in Pediatric, General and Oral Dentistry in lieu of education
- Florida Radiation Safety coursework
- X-Ray Certification to meet Florida Radiography Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Remains motivated
- Self-directed
- Demonstrates initiative
- Must be available to assist at any of our clinics within Brevard county
- Mileage reimbursement eligibility (implied by float requirement)
