Job Summary
As a Dental Assistant, you will support a dentist using four-handed dentistry, managing patient care, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment. Key responsibilities include assisting with clinical procedures, managing infection control processes, educating patients on oral hygiene, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies. You must have a high school diploma or GED, complete an accredited Dental Assisting Program, and possess required certifications. Bilingual Spanish skills and previous experience in a dental office are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Graduate from accredited Dental Assisting Program
- Radiology certification
- Infection Control certification
- Jurisprudence certification
- CPR Certification
- One year dental assisting experience in a dental office (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish
- Nitrous Oxide Exam Certification (preferred)
- Four handed dental assisting skills
Additional Requirements
- Must hold and maintain proper level of professional standards necessary for credentialing compliance
- Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
