Job Summary
Assist during a variety of dental treatment procedures, take dental x-rays, set up and breakdown operatory post treatment, manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, educate patients on oral hygiene, complete denture soft relines and temporary crowns, perform impressions and bite registrations, conduct digital intraoral scans, support patient charting for doctors, and help maintain patient flow and overall satisfaction while collaborating with the dental team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state of practice; including x-ray certification if required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Experience or familiarity with dental assisting duties such as taking radiographs, infection control, instrument sterilization, and assisting during procedures
- Digital intraoral scan capability is a plus
