Job Summary
Assist during a variety of treatment procedures, take dental x-rays, and perform quality impressions and bite registrations. Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment, execute patient handoffs, and monitor patient flow within the practice. Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies, complete denture soft relines, and manufacture temporary crowns. Perform digital intraoral scans and support patient charting for doctors. Collaborate with the practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction while handling various office tasks as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state of practice
- x-ray certification if required
