Job Summary
Support specialty dental clinics within the School of Dentistry by performing advanced dental activities requiring training and experience beyond standard assistant duties. Provide chairside assistance in both the Robertson Life Sciences Building at the South Waterfront and the Russell Street Clinic in Northeast Portland, with limited travel required between locations. Maintain radiological proficiency certification and complete mandatory OHSU onboarding training. This role offers flexibility to adapt to specific work unit needs while contributing to educational programs, clinical research, and quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program
- Two years' experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty
- Three years' experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty
- Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency
- BLS from AHA
- Worked as a dental assistant in an advanced specialty within the last 5 years
