Job Summary
Teach dental assisting courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor, preparing and grading written and practical examinations. Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College. Dress professionally in accordance with the faculty dress code and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Work Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm, with Friday through Sunday off. This adjunct role at Northwest Career College in Las Vegas, NV, supports the college's mission as a Best of Las Vegas and Inc. 5000 recognized institution.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience in the dental assisting field
- Degree, diploma, or certificate
- Successful completion of High School, its equivalent, or a state-authorized examination certificate
- RDA certification within 75 days of employment
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Dental Assistant or diploma training program
- Willingness to take the RDA exam if not certified
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in the field
