Dental Assistant (80553)

Assist the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry under direct supervision at Central State Prison and Burruss Correctional Training. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, maintain the operatory, and operate radiographic equipment while performing necessary administrative tasks. Maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification, with a Georgia DA license required or obtainable. Schedule Mon-Thurs 6am-4:30pm. High school diploma and completion of a dental assisting technical program or six months of experience required. Georgia DA license or ability to obtain one is mandatory; certification as an expanded duty dental assistant is preferred. Certification and/or experience performing dental x-rays is preferred. Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check, is required.
