Assist patients in-patient flow, escort them to operatory rooms, and obtain preliminary dental histories to prepare them for examinations or treatment procedures. Take radiographs, prepare operatories and instrument trays, and maintain appropriate supply inventory. Sterilize instruments as assigned, collect biohazard materials, and ensure adherence to OSHA, CLIA, and infection control protocols. Remain in exam rooms during patient exams as requested, assist with minor diagnostic procedures, and check appointment schedules to support billing staff. Identify and resolve patient flow issues while complying with all agency policies and attending required meetings and in-services.
