Job Summary
Research trend directions, create inspiration boards, and shop marketplaces to inform seasonal line planning. Develop fabrics, wash finishes, and color palettes while ensuring products meet cost parameters. Manage overseas communication with sample facilities, attend comparison and production fittings, and provide concise feedback to technical design. Create artwork for denim packaging and label hardware, then merchandise showrooms for sales presentations. Partner with sales to present the line to buyers and build cross-functional relationships with production, tech, and marketing teams.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree from accredited art/fashion school
- 3 +years of experience in denim design
- Must be proficient sketching in Illustrator and PLM
- Ability to create initial specs
- Ability to interface with cross functional team to drive results
- Ability to identify key trends and determine how they appropriately relate to the brand/consumer
