Demolition Laborer

Remove, teardown, and strip the insides of structures while removing anything of value. Strip interiors, use wrecking bars, sledgehammers, torch cutting, and heavy equipment, and ensure all electrical power, fire alarms, and sprinklers are terminated or protected. Identify hazardous materials such as asbestos and lead paint, terminate low voltage and communications, and protect live utilities that must remain operational. Properly support structural items, recycle materials per contract documents, and clean up work areas as demolition occurs. Maintain a standing position for extended periods, fully squat, bend, or kneel while wearing a tool belt, and work in various weather conditions. Adhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and procedures at all job-sites.
