Job Summary

Demi Chef supervises and coordinates cooks and kitchen staff, determining food presentation and decorative displays, ensuring proper portions and garnishes, monitoring stock and quality, informing service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items, and assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees. Responsible for maintaining food safety logs, upholding quality standards, and enforcing safety policies. Requires ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and maintain professional appearance. Preferred: Technical/Trade/Vocational degree; 4–6 years related experience with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
