Job Summary
Prepare and cook teppanyaki dishes according to restaurant standards and guest orders while performing live cooking and guest interaction. Set up and maintain the teppanyaki station before, during, and after service, ensuring ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and well-prepared. Perform efficiently during busy service while maintaining quality and consistency, providing excellent teamwork and communication with kitchen and service team members. Ensure food is stored, prepared, and secured hygienically and safely, checking mise-en-place and preparation procedures. Assist in stock handling, ordering, and minimizing waste, and train, coach, and develop subordinate employees. Report engineering defects to supervisors and maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professionalism. Work flexible hours in a luxury hotel located in South Ari Atoll.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in the English language
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive kitchen experience in a luxury hotel kitchen or a related field
- Must have held same position in a luxury hotel kitchen or a related field
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours
- Must be physically fit in order to lift items up to 25 Kilograms
- Must have leadership and communication skills
- Is fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures
- Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language
- Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or regulation of the hotel is represented
- Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of Saudi Law
