Job Summary
Demi Chef de Partie responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to recipes and standards, regulating temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, thawing frozen items, portioning, garnishing, maintaining food logs, and communicating needs during busy periods. Supports management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff; follows safety and security policies; upholds confidentiality and asset protection. Ensures uniform appearance and professional conduct; anticipates guest service needs and communicates menu specials/out-of-stock items to F&B staff. Maintains quality and presentation standards, adheres to the food preparation checklist, and performs other duties as assigned. Requires physical stamina (standing/walking for long periods; lifting up to 25 pounds) and effective teamwork, with a focus on maintaining relationships and achieving shared goals. Education preferred in Technical, Trade, or Vocational School; minimum 3 years related experience; Marriott policy emphasizes equal opportunity employment.
