Job Summary
Facilitate on-the-ground support and implement relationship-based strategies for clients, carers, and aged care staff through modelling and coaching. Collaborate with peers to develop staff expertise in dementia care, while supporting the trial and implementation of brokerage items with client guidance from senior consultants. Deliver tailored education via group sessions and individual mentoring to ensure context-specific, person-centred care aligned with service needs. Requires a current driver's licence, willingness to travel intrastate and interstate for up to five days, and flexible hours. This fixed-term role supports workforce capability in respite dementia care through the DREAM project.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organisational abilities, including effective time management and ability to prioritise in a busy work environment and competing demands
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service principles including conflict resolution to ensure the consistent provision of exceptional service to internal and external customers
- A current driver's licence and safe driving record
- Willingness to travel and work intrastate and interstate for up to five days at a time to support the delivery of DC services
- Willingness to work flexible hours at times and as required to meet the assessed needs of clients and carers
- Qualification in relevant field; Allied Health assistant, Diversional Therapy, Enrolled Nursing (EN), Aged Care, Cert III or IV in Individual Support / Leisure and Health or similar
