Job Summary
Dementia Consultant role delivering expert, evidence-based guidance to aged care providers, families, caregivers and clinical staff across NSW. Responsibilities include supporting carers through observation, coaching, and resources such as behaviour support planning; synthesising information to produce contextual reports that drive changes in care; conducting assessments to understand the holistic experience of individuals and their care networks; collaborating with Dementia Support Australia to build capability in home and aged care settings; contributing to research and programs; and undertaking diverse projects as needed. Requires strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines, and willingness to travel; includes hybrid work arrangements and a base set of benefits. Qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health is essential. All short-listed applicants will be asked to consent to a criminal record check.
