Job Summary
Provide non-medical in-home care for seniors and adults in Merrillville and surrounding Lake and Porter County communities. Duties include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene; providing companionship and emotional support; aiding mobility, ambulation, and transfers; meal preparation and light housekeeping; offering medication reminders; observing and reporting changes in client condition; following agency safety and infection control procedures; and using a mobile app for clock-in/out and documentation. Flexible PRN and part-time schedules with day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts; training and orientation provided; opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Preferred experience as a Caregiver, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, or related role
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass a national background check
- CPR certification and TB test preferred or willing to obtain
