Job Summary
Create and maintain SKU-level forecast models by incorporating business intelligence from sales, marketing, and finance. Perform deep data analysis to recognize patterns and adjust forecasts, ensuring supply chain alignment with customer demand and profit goals. Manage demand plans at SKU, customer, and Distribution Center levels in both dollars and units. Identify and resolve out-of-stock issues by analyzing safety stock levels and shortage occurrences. Partner with account managers to review vendor scorecards and resolve chronic issues such as fill rates and forecast accuracy. Lead demand planning inputs for the S&OP process, making recommendations on consumption and financial plans. Conduct factory capacity and supplier make-plan analysis for promotional and seasonal inventory.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in demand planning and operational business aspects (e.g., lead times, MOQ, safety stocks)
- Strong analytical background with experience in professional reporting and statistical modeling
- Deep understanding of forecasting concepts such as MAPE, WMAPE, and BIAS
- Working knowledge of planning systems like DSX, Oracle (Demantra), or JDE
- Ability to translate complex data trends into actionable business insights for sales and finance partners
