Job Summary
Develop and maintain demand forecasts across Amazon, e-commerce, retail, wholesale, marketplace, and direct-to-consumer channels by analyzing sales trends, seasonality, and inventory levels. Review system-generated forecasts, apply demand adjustments, and recommend replenishment strategies to reduce stockouts and excess inventory. Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to align inventory strategies and support new product launches. Track forecast accuracy and key planning metrics while managing planning master data and driving continuous process improvements. Collaborate with suppliers on purchase order planning and inventory positioning to optimize fulfillment requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, demand management, forecasting, inventory planning, or supply chain planning, with responsibility for item-level forecasts across multiple sales channels, including e-commerce, marketplace, retail, wholesale, and/or direct-to-consumer
- Strong knowledge of demand planning principles, including sales velocity, seasonality, lead times, safety stock, forecast accuracy, demand variance, inventory allocation, replenishment planning, and stockout/excess inventory risk management
- Experience using demand planning software, ERP systems, inventory planning tools, advanced Excel, forecasting models, and AI-driven tools or automation to improve forecasting, reporting, data analysis, and planning workflows
- Proven ability to review and adjust system-generated forecasts, apply demand overrides, document planning assumptions, and translate data into actionable inventory and purchasing recommendations
- Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering with Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketplace, and Finance teams to align forecasts and inventory strategies
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts across Amazon (FBA/FBM), retail, wholesale, marketplace, direct-to-consumer, and emerging sales channels
