Job Summary
Demand Planner responsible for developing forecasting tools and analytics, reporting on statistical data and performance metrics (purchasing ability/inventory levels, customer service levels, freight utilization), identifying business trends, and communicating insights to management to support fact-based decision-making. Tasks include Sales and Promotional forecasting, predictive analysis to maximize purchasing and optimize freight, creating and maintaining databases/reports for pilot programs, collaborating with Procurement/Distribution/external customers to define data needs, standardizing report structures, and maintaining process documentation. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, with strong MS Office and SQL skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive improvements in inventory, service levels, and freight utilization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Business Administration, Statistics, Logistics/Supply Chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Five years of combined experience in Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization, prioritization and attention to detail skills
- Strong mathematical aptitude, financial acumen and quantitative and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint) and experience with SQL based queries
- Knowledge of database management, logistics and inventory concepts
