Job Summary
Demand Planner reporting to the Director of Inventory Management; develops and maintains item-, category-, and brand-level merchandise sales and buy plans; builds accurate demand forecasts from sales trends, seasonality, promotions, and market intelligence; leads Open to Buy discussions; manages Open-to-Buy, markdowns, and inventory health; prepares reports/dashboards on forecast performance, inventory metrics, and demand trends; collaborates across Allocation, Finance, Marketing, and Operations; conducts financial forecasting (item-level planning, annual operating plans, and multi-timeframe forecasts); analyzes vendor performance and market trends to inform strategies; strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional influence skills; requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience; full-time in Larchmont, NY or New York, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Finance, Business, Accounting or similar field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, analytics, planning, business management, omni-channel merchandising, or related area
