Demand Planner

Job Summary
Develop accurate demand forecasts for assigned customer accounts using historical data, seasonality, and promotional activities to optimize inventory levels and service performance. Maintain planning parameters, forecast assumptions, and master data while leveraging statistical and AI-supported tools to identify demand patterns and anomalies. Manage forecasting exceptions related to product lifecycle changes, inventory constraints, and supply risks, performing root cause analysis to recommend corrective actions. Monitor KPIs including forecast accuracy, bias, and value add, preparing reports and dashboards to support Sales & Operations Planning consensus activities. Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Commercial, and customers to align demand with supply capabilities and business priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Analytics or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management or a related supply chain function
- Experience working with statistical forecasting, planning systems and data analysis
- Experience collaborating within cross-functional and international business environments
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, modelling and reporting
- Experience with ERP, MRP and Demand Planning systems
- Understanding of statistical forecasting methodologies, forecast KPIs (MAPE, WMAPE, Bias, FVA) and AI-supported forecasting solutions
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
Desired Qualifications
- APICS/ASCM, IBF, CPIM or other planning certification
- Understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and inventory management principles
- Working knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence and visualization tools
- German language skills
