Job Summary
Partner with IT, Finance, and HR/Payroll to design and maintain automated bi-directional API integrations between Rippling and Deltek Vantagepoint, eliminating manual data entry. Architect multi-jurisdiction sales tax compliance workflows using Avalara and standardize project numbering and Chart of Accounts across all entities. Build advanced SQL-based reports and Power BI dashboards to provide real-time visibility into project health and consolidated financial performance. Manage user security roles, system workflows, and approval hierarchies while serving as the go-to expert for day-to-day system issues and enhancement requests. Proactively identify inefficient processes and drive streamlined, automated solutions to replace manual workflows. Collaborate with executive leadership on system-of-record decisions and execute special projects such as fiscal year-end conversions as they arise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience administering Deltek Vantagepoint (or a comparable project-based ERP) in a multi-company environment
- Multi-Jurisdiction Tracking: Design and implement a solution to capture employee 'Work-In' locations at the timesheet level within Vantagepoint, syncing this data back to Rippling to ensure compliant multi-state payroll tax withholding
- Advanced SQL skills and experience building custom reports within or alongside Vantagepoint
- Working knowledge of Chart of Accounts design, project numbering standards, and data mapping for multi-entity consolidation
- Experience managing system security, user roles, and workflow configuration within the Deltek ERP environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent, high-priority technical initiatives
- Demonstrated track record of identifying inefficient processes and driving measurable efficiency gains within an ERP or similar system environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical system requirements for Finance, Payroll, and HR stakeholders
- Comfortable taking on occasional large-scale, one-time system initiatives (e.g., a fiscal year-end conversion) as they arise under the Special Projects portion of the role
- Up to 5% travel to any or all 50 US states
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on expertise architecting and maintaining API-based integrations between Deltek Vantagepoint and third-party HRIS/tax-engine platforms (Rippling and Avalara experience strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting a fiscal year-end conversion or similar one-time ERP initiative is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency with Power BI, including building reports and dashboards directly from Deltek Vantagepoint back-end database tables, is strongly preferred
