Job Summary
Support technical activities across automation workstreams within the Program Technical Office by collaborating with the Hybrid Node Automation Team and System Integrators during design, development, testing, and implementation. Contribute to the definition and development of DeltaV Batch software components, including the in-house recipe builder tool, while establishing reusable automation components and design standards. Review System Integrator deliverables for alignment with program requirements and GMP standards, then coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to support testing, commissioning, and qualification activities. Provide technical troubleshooting during project execution and prepare technical specifications and engineering deliverables. This 12-month hybrid role requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of automation engineering experience, including three years with Emerson DeltaV Batch.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of automation engineering experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV Batch DCS
- Experience with batch control, recipe configuration, phases, equipment modules, control modules, and ISA-88 concepts
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical or life sciences automation projects
- Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, change control, and computer system validation principles
- Ability to work effectively with internal automation teams, System Integrators, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong technical documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Python scripting; practical Python development experience is highly preferred
