Job Summary
Delivery Truck Drivers are responsible for the delivery and/or removal of waste or recycling carts and bins to customers. Drivers operate the truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies, complete proper documentation, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain work orders, and provide courteous service to customers. Responsibilities include delivering/removing carts and bins, interacting with customers, assisting in other projects as needed, and operating other types of trucks as necessary. Required skills include map/GPS reading, strong driving/maneuvering abilities, basic vehicle-mechanics knowledge, use of small power tools for container repairs, and professional communication. Prior waste-industry experience is a plus; 1-2 years driving a large van/truck is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
- Must be able to read and speak the English language
- 1-2 years of previous experience driving a large company van or truck, preferred
- Physical ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 75 lbs in various conditions
